Island Fresh SUPERIOR Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Do you love Coconut Oil? There’s nothing that smells better than opening a new jar of Coconut Oil.
It smells delicious….mmmm. I’ve been the very lucky recipient of a 54 ounce jar of Island Fresh
Superior Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to review. When it arrived, the first thing I did was to
open the jar and enjoy the wonderful aroma!
Baking with Coconut Oil is wonderful way to improve your baked goods while making your food
healthier. You can substitute cooking oil in your cakes, muffins, and such with a warmed coconut
oil. When coconut oil is in a liquid state, it can be mixed in your baked goods very easily. It bakes
up light and fluffy. It seems to make your baked goods a little sweeter and you can taste a little
coconut flavor in these recipes.
In biscuits, scones, and pie crusts I’ve used the Coconut Oil in place of butter or shortening. You can
just cut it in to your flour mixture with a pastry cutter. It works well and makes a flaky crust. I love
the flavor. It’s also healthier than shortening and butter!
I’ve used Coconut Oil to cook in a skillet, too. When you use it, remember the flavor will come
through. It’s wonderful!
There are many other uses for Coconut Oil. It can be used on hair and skin for conditioning and
moisturizing. I like to use it as a dry-skin moisturizer. You can find many other uses online.
Disclosure: I received a jar of Island Fresh Organic Coconut Oil for review purposes. My opinion is 100% my own. I was not compensated for this review.
