What a relief! My blood tests came back from the doctor, and I got great news. I don’t have Mastocytosis! My tryptase numbers were well within the normal range. I still have the Mast Cell Disorder diagnosis and will still need to continue my medications. At least I won’t have to increase the dosages, though.
Good news is welcome. I’ve been nervous about the possibilities of the Mastocytosis diagnosis, and now I can relax. Having a long list of other disorders and diseases is bad enough, without adding one more. This is just part of my life, and I try to not dwell on it.
I continue to feel more like myself after discontinuing the Topamax for my chronic migraines. My daily headaches are no longer daily, but I’m having mild headaches some days. I’m much more alert and have an improving short-term memory. Hubby is amazed now when I can remember things again.
It’s wonderful to thank God for good news.
Psalms 28:7 – The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
