Welcome, 2017. You’re all new, fresh, and full of hope. I love to see what you’re bringing my way. Will this year be the best or the worst? It will probably be filled with ups and downs, like all the other 54 years I’ve known.
I’ll go into 2017 with a positive feeling and hope. But, because of being a realist, I’ll look to God. God is the only one I can trust to provide and protect me each and every day. He’ll continue to love and care for me, even when I’m not lovable.
It’s the time for New Year’s resolutions, and that’s important. My resolutions are probably the same ones from last year, that I never accomplished. Resolutions and goals can push me forward to make improvements. Mine continue to focus on health: consistent physical therapy exercises and better diet.
Maybe my health conditions will be better and maybe worse. Surviving the bad days is a reality that I’ve come to accept, for the most part. Contentment in chronic illness is still my goal. When I am content, I am able to encourage others and be a blessing to my family. Blessings are much better than burdens.
God bless each of you in this new year!
