The last 1/2 pill of Prednisone is done. I’m thankful that I wasn’t on a very high dose, 10mg doesn’t do much to me. Though my moods have been grumpy, there wasn’t much to talk about. Last night I had insomnia and was wide-awake until 6am. Today should be interesting, after the poor sleep and pain.

I’m so thankful for waking up with less pain this morning. My headache is also turned down quite a few notches. This is my third day of the plant-based diet. My weight is down 3 pounds and my eyes are less puffy. If this way of eating really gives me relief from pain, I’ll gladly do it forever.

Some studies do show the many benefits of eating this way. Being able to reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol, lose weight and reduce stiffness and joint pain make a vegan diet worth it.

Eating oats for breakfast isn’t hard, but the lunches are very different. I’m going to need some recipes, because tomato/bean burritos have no flavor. Cooking is so hard when your head is pounding. If I can get showered and presentable, Hubby will take me to the health-food store to find some vegan products.

Results could take time, and I don’t know how long? But, relief from pain or just lowering the level a few notches would be wonderful. Have you tried a plant-based diet? Do you have any advice for me?
