My healthy, plant-based diet is going well.  After 5 days, I’ve lost 4 1/2 pounds and have a little more energy.  My plan is to continue this diet, because it’s healthy and holds a promise of better health.  Medications have only helped me a small amount and the side-effects are horrible.  Although I’m still taking a few medicines, my ability to function is very limited.

Spending every day resting on the couch in pain isn’t a functional life.  So, as I try new products and recipes, I’ll share the good ones with you.  Because I love coffee with creamer, I was worried about what would be a healthy alternative to my un-natural powdered creamer.  I’ve used a sugar-free french vanilla coffee-mate creamer for years, and love the taste.

We went to the health food store to see what was available in a plant-based diet safe way.  There were three choices, but this one seemed to fit the ingredient-list the best.  I bought a small carton to try at home.

NutPods creamer is a dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, non-gmo, and kosher product.  I selected the French Vanilla flavor of NutPods.  The creamer is made from coconuts and almonds.  It doesn’t contain any of the following:

  • Soy
  • Carrageenan
  • Sodium caseinate (a milk protein),
  • Mono and di-glycerides
  • Artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
  • Partially hydrogenated oils or corn syrup
  • Sweeteners, sugars or sugar alcohols

It really is delicious and gives my coffee a mild vanilla flavor, compared to my old creamer.  I pour in the creamer and add a little stevia and then enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee.  It’s great to know that with the vegan certification, I’ll know that it works well with my new diet.

In order to make my coffee as blond as the old creamer, I would need to use a lot more of NutPods.  Since, I’m not wanting to use that much, I’m drinking my coffee a little darker.  I hope to cut back on my cups per day, too.  Drinking 3 cups is more than I need, and hope to reduce my habit.  But, we’ll see.

If you have any diet restrictions and are looking for a great creamer, you should try NutPods.  I think you’ll be very happy with it.  It comes in three flavors: original, french vanilla, and hazelnut.  If you want to purchase it in bulk, the NutPods website sells in packs of: 4 packs, 12 packs or variety packs.  Amazon also sells the packs for the same price + prime shipping.  Enjoy!

I’ve been trying to get away from processed foods but non-dairy coffee creamer in my coffee is my weakness. I switched out the sugar for Lakanto made from Monk’s Fruit which doesn’t raise one’s blood sugar (a plus for diabetics) but hadn’t found anything to replace my dairy creamer. Thank you for the review, this is one I will try.

If you’re like me, the processed creamers are so good and I love all the flavor choices. But, this new one has 2 flavors and the original would be good, too. I guess we could add our own flavors. I’m glad you found a great natural sweetener. I hope you like NutPods. Thanks, Margaret!

I need to try this. Coffee creamer and cheese are the two dairy products I’ve had the hardest time replacing.
