I just received a phone call that gave me good news. My surgery will be tomorrow morning, I feel so relieved that the first step to recovery will finally happen.
After reading about it, I know that this type of surgery (Open Reduction and Internal Fixation) is usually done on 65 year olds and older. My bones are probably already there, even though I’m a young 56 year old, Gotta go with some humor here.
Before the surgery, I’ll need to discuss my conditions and make sure the doctors are up to speed on any adjustments that need to be made, Ehlers Danlos is important to discuss with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, too.
I’ll let you know how it goes. It takes all day typing with one finger!
