A Diagnosis of Sjogren’s Syndrome

I finally have some results of testing done this month and last.  I haven’t heard from all the doctors, but one test result is now ready.  I do have Sjogren’s Syndrome.  My lip biopsy results were positive for Sjogren’s, so now I will be seeing the rheumatologist.

Sjogrens Syndrome

The list of results that I’m negative for: Diabetes, Cancer, Muscle diseases, and POTS.  I was very surprised at the POTS non-diagnosis, but am happy to not have it.  I have enough medical problems with: Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Disorder, and Sjogren’s Syndrome.

I’m waiting to hear more from the Sleep Apnea study, but was told that it’s a very probable diagnosis from the hospital that tested me.  It looks like I’ll soon be on some new medication for Sjogren’s Syndrome.  I’m doing well with the new Gluten-Free diet and have resigned myself to eating this way from now own.

Living a life of Chronic Illness can be so challenging!  But, I am truly thankful to learn of this new diagnosis.  It’s good to know that the Small Fiber Neuropathy is caused by Sjogren’s and not some other horrible muscle disease.  After all the painful tests, it’s a blessing to have answers.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Col 3:17
